The Herald - Information
The Herald is a free magazine, published every 3 weeks, designed to encourage local enterprise, whether it be a small business, voluntary organisations or community projects.
First published in 1994 as the Hythe & Dibden Purlieu Herald, and
later as the Waterside Herald, The Herald contains interesting
easy-to-read news
items about local people and events.
The Herald now also incorporates The Carrier, another magazine that was formerly published as a stand-alone title by Herald Publishing.
The Herald has been described by Helen Owers, Hythe & Dibden's Parish Development Officer, as "the bible for the Waterside".
The Herald provides a medium for local businesses to advertise at really affordable prices. By keeping overheads to a minimum, we are able to offer realistic advertising rates, thus giving even the smallest businesses and those with a limited budget a chance to get their message direct to potential customers within their own catchment area.
Every issue, local residents are able to pick up their free copy of The Herald from local shops, pubs, garages, community centres and other easily accessible places.
Most issues of The Herald include special features which put the spotlight on local events or towns/villages in the area. Click here to view a list of forthcoming features.
